A collection of songs born out of that push-and-pull we all feel between work and life, routine and rebellion, survival and meaning.

Sonically, it’s a cozy patchwork: soft rock, a touch of baroque pop, flashes of indie psych, drifting between soothing, melodic calm and bursts of restless energy. Arthur’s behind the drums, David paints piano textures, and I handled vocals and the rest; guitars, bass, synths, noise, you name it.

We tracked the drums in two days and piano in one power session session. The rest unfolded over a few focused weeks, layered and reshaped until it all clicked.

Thematically, the album wrestles with the stuff we usually try to laugh off: the person you are at work vs. the one you are alone at night, burnout, identity. Think of it like a loose journey, an unnamed protagonist moving through rooms, moods, selves. The cover art for the singles maps those spaces out visually.

There’s Always Something in this Town

This one was recorded near a quaint little village in France's Champagne region called Verdon. The album feels live and cohesive since it was written and recorded within a fun, yet challenging, two weeks.

Recording started in 2019 and finished in 2022 due to the difficulties that the COVID-19 pandemic brought about. This is the first full length record we did with Spike Barton. Recorded in Amsterdam's SAE studio's on a full sized SSL mixing desk and all sorts of cool gear. Released on June 30th 2023.
